ACTION ITENS (how will you implement it?)
| - Liaise with local cycling clubs to create a ‘get on your bike’ initiative and ensure safe bike parking facilities. - Put up walking maps on the event website and provide a fan experience along the most popular routes. - Place education signs on walking routes of the benefits of walking. - Anyone who walks or bikes to the event will be given an apple as a reward. |

MEASURE - Performance indicator
| % of spectators coming by foot or bike. This will measured by counting the number of bikes in the designated bike parking area and the number of apples handed out. |

| No bottled water campaign. Reduce bottled water use by at least 90% compared to last year. |
ACTION ITENS (how will you implement it?)
| - Supply safe and clean water fountains and pitchers of water around the event. - Post information on website and on signage promoting the excellent local tap water and ‘no bottled water campaign’ - Provide re-usable bottles with drink sponsor logo to spectators and athletes. Use washable cups in all catering facilities. |
